Cyclic Salt Spray Corrosion Test Chamber

Cyclic Corrosion Test is conducted to predict the corrosive behavior of material under various environmental conditions .An accelerated corrosion test chamber performs salt spray creating different environmental conditions such as Salt Fog, Salt Spray, Humid, & dry in order to simulate the effects that a material will see under real life conditions for the evaluation of corrosion resistance of finished surfaces or parts. Spectro’s Cyclic Corrosion Test Chambers are designed to comply with National & International standards as well as further corporate standards of the automotive and coating industry.

Fatigue Test Machine is employed for determining the behavior of materials under fluctuating loads. Generally, the test is repeated with identical specimens and various fluctuating loads. Loads may be applied axially, in torsion, or in flexure. Depending on amplitude of the mean and cyclic load, net stress in the specimen may be in one direction through the loading cycle, or may reverse direction. Data from fatigue testing often are presented in an S-N diagram .Most fatigue tests are conducted in flexure, rotating beam, or vibratory type machines.
Spectro Introduces Up gradation Services for UTM & Fatigue Testing Machines. Fatigue testing is conducted to assess ability of material against continuous exposure to loading and unloading up to specified Fatigue Strength. The FTM is upgraded with latest control electronics. The machine also facilitates the user to conduct cyclic loading and unloading by automatically following the selected test cycle. Our up-gradation packages are available for existing fatigue testing machines including Instron, Schenck, Dartec, MTS, Zwick, Shimadzu, Mayes, and other makes.

Stress Relaxation Machine


Stress Relaxation Test refers to the decrease in ‘Stress’ in a material subjected to prolonged constant Strain at a constant temperature. Stress Relaxation test machine is used to determine stress-relaxation of metal, such as stranded wire. Stress Relaxation Tests are very Effective for conducting ageing tests as substantial amount of information can be obtained with little effort, especially when using the continuous measurement system.

Spectro Automation Team has come up with a Stress Relaxation Test Machine. The machine complies to IS 14268: 1995, which provides the specification for Uncoated Stress Relieved Low Relaxation Seven-Ply Strand for Prestressed Concrete. As per IS 14268 : 1995 the percentage relaxation loss of low relaxation strands should not be more than 1.8 % after 100 hours, and not more than 2.5 % after 1000 hours.

Spectro Automation introduces to SBAPL-SST range, used to check corrosion resistance of coated samples. Salt spray test is an accelerated corrosion test that produces a corrosive attack to the coated samples in order to predict its suitability in use as a protective finish. The appearance of corrosion products is evaluated after a period of time. Test duration depends on the corrosion resistance of the coating; the more corrosion resistant the coating is, the longer the period in testing without showing signs of corrosion.
Salt spray testing is popular because it is cheap, quick, well standardized and reasonably repeatable. Salt spray test is widely used in the industrial sector for the evaluation of corrosion resistance of finished surfaces or parts.
